The water heater in your bathroom stopped working. You immediately called a plumber and had it repaired. Since you are renting the flat, now you have called your landlord to tell him how much the repair cost. And you have asked him to pay you back. But because he refuses to do that, you angrily say to him: ----
A) I wouldn't have called a plumber if I had known that you would refuse to pay him.
B) I thought it was the landlord's responsibility to get the pipes repaired. Perhaps I was wrong.
C) You either pay for it or I will deduct the money from the next month's rent.
D) Since you don't live in the flat, I can't force you to pay for any repairs.
E) I promise I will leave the flat in the same condition that it was when I moved in.
